150 more times than what? What's the reference number of charge cycles that you're comparing to?

    • -3

more than other rechargeable brands being Energizer top leading in batteries

  • LSD?

    • -3

According to some reviews: these are actually the New version. Energizer has finally discontinued the '2500mAh' series, presumably due to massive complaints. All the new Energizer rechargeable AA cells on the market are LSD type

    • aren't these the same as what aldi sells at the front counters?

  • Someone else comented that this is 1.2v model (not 1.5v). Can someone please confirm what voltage they are.

    • Sorry my bad. Clearly stated on website as being 1.2v.

  • -5

Energizer have to be the worst rechargable batteries that I have ever used. Even at this price it's not a bargain - I would never trust this brand for rechargables again.

    • +2

Please do elaborate with your story.~

      • The Energizers that I've bought over the years are TOTALLY hopeless. Won't hold a charge at all. I use a quality computer-controlled V-delta charger, other brands have no problems.

I'd be interested to learn if these are the same rubbish or really ARE LSD

        • I highly doubt they are LSD . All the LSD type batteries I've seen are only 2000-2100mah . Seems dumb buying lower mah batteries but you are 10 times better off .

    • everyone praises Energizer and I personally prefer it over Eveready not because we are selling it but just from my personal experience just like your experience

      • +3

Went on to Sanyo Eneloop a couple of years ago and haven't looked back. The energizers would go flat within 30 days if not used.

        • The Varta LongLife Accu batteries are also pretty good too.

They come pre-charged just like Eneloops and while they've been sitting around in my closet for 3-4 months, they are still pretty much at full charge.

Not sure if they are as good as eneloops though, but the Varta website claims their batteries retain 80% of their capacity after one year of storage.

        • +1

I've got about 30 Energiser rechargables, all about 5 years old and probably recharged 50 times each on average. They hold charge for less than 10 days.

    • +1

why neg a post if you don't like the brand?
this site is about listing cheap prices of which this is!

      • +1

So cheap is all that counts, and the quality doesn't matter? Right…

      • Aldi sells NiMH batteries of a similar capacity and same quantity for the same price. However, I haven't had any unexpected performance issues with those, while I'm hearing bad things about Energizer. Hmmm

        • We all have stories about batteries - Varta in my case I have photos showing full charge, with leaking from the battery so bad its destroyed a torch and anther one where it damaged a remote control, in that case I got to it in time.

  • +1

if it is LSD then that's a good price, need product/part number plz

    • funny feeling they are not LSD - most LSD batteries claim 1 year for 20-30% drain. Energizer only claims 6 months.

Plus other LSD batteries are 2200mah max - these are 2450.

  • +2

Oh god…I am laughing at the 1.5v comment, correct me if I'm wrong, I thought all 'regular' size rechargeable's were 1.2v, just the nature of the beast.

In regards to the 2500mah older energizers…I have EIGHT of them, only managed to get TWO of them charged…do the maths. Great deal if the bugs have been ironed out. Apparently if you use a third party charger on the older ones they charge normally, it's just the energizer chargers throw a hissy fit.

there are plenty of people requesting for full details of the item on sale.
why is it not posted in the first place?

+ve! Dear shadowfriend, do you know that they key to a successful business is honesty? Just provide all the details at first instead of providing it 1 by 1 as the ppl ask.

  • +2

I think it is simply buyer beware. The old 2500 mAH Rechargeable Energizers have gotten a well deserved reputation for deteriorating rapidly over time. The main problem that developed was self-discharge rates that made the batteries unusable (discharging within a few days completely). Obviously they've been fiddling with their capacity to improve the problem. I think these 2450mAH are an attempt to move away from their past. Whether they have fixed or improved the problem is anyone's guess. I think there are even new versions which have gone down to 2300mAH. Either way these are not in the same category of low self discharge such as the Sanyo eneloops so don't expect their characteristics with these batteries.

  • +2

In regards to everyone saying 'Sanyo Eneloops', these batteries have such a stupidly good reputation it's not funny. I'm close to getting my NI-MH's energizers recycled and then buying some Sanyos

    • there's nothing wrong with other brands LSD batteries either if they are genuinely LSD batteries - only problem is that they are generally not any cheaper than the eneloops. Every brand calls their LSD batteries by a different name so its hard to remember/differentiate them all - its easy to remember eneloop = LSD.

  • Guys, there is nothing to hide really, I have added some more comments to the description at the top of the post and also updated the picture to a bigger sized one so it is clear, also please keep in mind that the www.energizer.com.au website is currently down (i.e. Error: this page isn't re-directing correctly) there is only one type of 4pack 2450mah, this bargain is RRP is not less than $20.00 plus postage.

  • +2

I've got the 2500mah energizer batteries and can confirm they are absolute junk . I will never buy energizer batteries again .

    • +1

Agreed - I've bought a few lots of Energizers over the years, they've all been thrown away because they won't hold ANY charge. Like not even 10 mins - absolutely un-useable in a device with a sharp voltage cutoff like a camera.

They must be a special ISD (Instant Self Discharge) design?

  • +2

Energizer rechargables are the worst I have ever used, and I've used a lot. Get the Eneloops from Dick Smith.

  • +1

can you get some AAAs too at that price ?

  • The best rechargeables would have to be LSD, being the ENELOOP 2000mAH and the Powerex Imedion 2400mAH LSD. The Imedions are awesome.

    • Yup, the Imedions are the best batteries I've used.

  • +1

i've had tons of batteries(cells) over the years, and yeah, i've had the 1700mah and 2500mah energizers, total crap, in less than a week most of the charge is gone, and they were made in Japan i thought they would be good!
but since then i bought the silver AAs energizer 2450mah 'recharge', they came pre-charged which means they are typically lsd and last longer than eneloops which are 2000mah, also i have the duracells gold top lsd and the green & black duracells which are 2650mah, strange thing is these don't say they are lsd but they hold a charge for quite a while

  • I have rechargeable AA's for salt and pepper grinders. Bought one Eveready set of 4 with charger about 12 months ago together with a set of 4 2450mAh Energizers without charger - figuring I could try just using the same Eveready charger.

(NB: This would indicate that the 2450mAh size is not very new for Energizer.)

At a guess I'd say either set would last about 4 months usage between charges.

I can report now that the Eveready's are going well whereas the Energizers gave up recently and will no longer charge after only about three or four charging cycles. Obviously the manufacturers and reps will claim they would have lasted longer with a dedicated Energizer brand charger. And they are probably correct….

  • +1

Appears to be the new LSD type and not the old ones that had the bad reputation.
    Positive from me.

  • Guys we have now managed to do the same deal at the same price but for the Energizer AAA Rechargeable here is the link, enjoy
