$1000 Cash Back When You Refinance Your Home Loan to The NAB

100

hi guys

the nab is having a special promotion where they will pay you $1000 when you refinance your loan from another bank to nab. The offer is only for customers that are transferring their home loan from another bank and the loan has to be over $300,000. The application has to be processed between 10/01/2011 to 11/02/11 and account opened within 90 days.

The offer is not advertised anywhere. I found out from the Branch Manager at the local nab branch.
I know the offer is available in the branch but i am not sure if the offer is available over the phone or the internet.

thanks

  • hmmm… that should cover early termination fees :-) I am curious.

    • The new finance laws mean there are no longer exit fees.Anyone up to speed on this?

  • i heard some banks remove the early termination fees? which banks if this is true?

  • the nab removed it's early exit fee at the start of December.
the anz also doesn't have an early exit fees.
westpac and cba are both $700 i believe

all 4 banks have costs associated with breaking a fixed rate term however this fee has always been separate from the early exit fee.

  • this is just the icing on the cake
what's important is their interest rate
plus the conditions with the loan package.

If their rate is good, I would switch even with no $1000 cash back.

    • well they seem to be the cheapest out of the major 4 banks

      • have you checked the history of their interest? has it been always cheapest of the major 4? we need to learn to see a whole picture.

        • since the past 2 years NAB has been cheapest than the other major. But yeah there's no gurantee.
But at least there's no break-up/exit cost so you can shop around if they do raise more than others.

  • the loan has to be over $300,000.

    freaking bs T&C!

  • Is this Homeside or NAB direct? I have my loans with Homeside(division of NAB) and was wondering if I refinance to NAB direct I am eligible for this.

    • as they are separate companies it is classified as a refinance. you would be eligible
