Stroller board/buggy suggestion/reviews (Uppababy Alta)

Hi all,

We're expecting a second child and our 3yo is getting bumped. We have Uppababy Alta but the Uppababy piggyback board is way too expansive.

Does anyone have the Vee Bee SK8 board? Thoughts? Or other cheaper versions of stroller board they could recommend?

Thanks in advance.

Hate the idea of the toddler boards at the back, you'd forever be hunched over the pram.
We were fortunate to start out with a Baby Jogger City Select to start with, so we're ready for the 2nd. When the eldest was old enough we could just switch to a single pram.

Can I suggest getting some sort of twin pram? 3yo will be wanting a seat for another year or 2…

Had the bumprider for the rebal q pram. As above said leaning over the pram, as the wheels where too far apart and my feet where getting in the way. Lucky bought from gumtree and sold again for the same price.

Congratulations. We have a Mountain buggy urban jungle with a monkeyboard attached. No need to hunch or lean over pram. Doesn't get in the way at all. Only problem is that it has to be taken off when the pram is folded but that only takes a minute.

Very easy to make as well if you look at the earlier monkeyboards. A bit of wood, 1 decent caster wheel, 2 wing nuts and u bolts and a strap to get it out of the way when not using it.

Slightly off topic - I have the comfort wheeled board for my bugaboo bee. Damned expensive about $200ish. The little one 19 months old isn’t a fan - she’ll stay on for a while but then she’ll keep trying to get off which is a bit dangerous when we’re moving so I’m constantly looking down at her instead of ahead. That’s assuming I can even get her on, sometimes I end up having to carry her instead as well as push the stroller.

Mind you a 3yo may be a lot more cooperative than a 19 month old

If possible I’d recommend a double stroller or taking two separate ones if you have another pair of hands to help (we normally take our bee and our travel stroller / mountain buggy nano)
