Which Thumbstick Grips/Caps for Xbox One Controller?

Was just wondering if anybody can recommend good but inexpensive thumbstick grips/caps for the latest Xbox One v3 controller?

The reason I ask is that there are plenty advertised on Ebay but most state they are universal 360/Xbox one compatible. So not sure if they will fit correctly on the Xbox One controller thumbsticks. As I currently have 360 thumbstick caps which fit perfectly on the 360 controller. Have tried them on the Xbox One controller and found they do not full fit and are too loose. I found the reason is the Xbox One thumbsticks on the latest v3 controller are smaller than the 360 ones. Even though the Ebay ones list them as being universal for ps2/3/4 & 360/XB1. From my experience they are not be the same. So not sure which ones to buy that will fit because of this?

  • Good luck in your search. I don't own an Xbone so don't have experience with your question but have dealt with something similar.

I used to have rubbish caps on my dual shock 4. Stuck with them, but hated them. Until I discovered replacement thumbsticks that can even be made of different materials like aluminium. I replaced the actual sticks themselves and love it. Might be worth looking into.

curious to know do grips provide for overall a better gaming performance?
    what do they actually do?

    • Other than protecting and stopping the thumbsticks from wearing out. Thus becoming uncomfortable to use. They also improve gaming performance in my opinion.

Although as mentioned above. If the thumbsticks wear out they can be easily replaced. Just a pain to do. Although I still like to use them as they also make the controller more comfortable to use. Just try to avoid the flat smooth caps without any patterns as they tend to get slippery if your hands are sweaty.
