    The hard PC part will scratch the back of the phone. Should always avoid cases made with PC.

      Mine hasn't scratched my phone and I've had it on since July 2017 - I just made sure the case and phone were clean with no dirt or sand in between and it's been fine

        It is not the dust or sand which scratch the phone surface, it is the hard PC material itself scratching it.

        Anyway, no matter how hard you have cleaned the surface, dust will still slip into any case on the Earth eventually. This is physics and unavoidable.

          Dust/dirt/crap are actually irrelevant to this discussion. Because they are NOT the only reason to create the scratches, they just make the case worse if they exist.

          When a piece of PC keeps rubbing on a glass surface, scratches will be created. Why? Because for a $9.9 case and a $999 phone, you should not expect they have a nanostructured or PERFECT surface. (again, this is about physics)

      The back of the phone is gorilla glass. Plastic wont scratch it. But any sand that gets caught inside the case will definitely scratch it.

      I have had this case since I got the S8. Just checked and there are no scratches on the back but it had got a bit dirty in there. My only complaint is that the plastic back has cracked and is coming away from the rubber surround from taking the phone in and out a few times for gear vr.I'll probably get another though as I like the feel of it.

    I had one of these, the hybrid design gives you the best of both worlds almost the looks touch & feel of glass worry of slipping out of your hand, my only gripe would be that it scratches very easily.

    I've got one of these on my Pixel 2 XL and I can't complain. Its light, thin and sturdy. Would recommend this case and I don't get any scratching from the case as mentioned above.

    My only annoyance is how easily the case picks up fingerprints and dust. The camera cut out is okay, but annoying how general muck gets in between the lip of the camera and the lip of the case.

    cases are very worthwhile, my partner dropped hers yesterday and even though it is in a flip case it still managed to land on its screen, which broke,
    thankfully still works,her case does not have raised bezels to lift the screen from contacting surfaces when placed face down like my tech21 case, hopefully there is enough of a raise that it wont hit the screen if I drop mine.

    I’ve got these and great cases.

    What do you guys do for a screen protector for the s8?.
    . I’ve tried normal ones which peel off due to the curved screen and tried a tempered glass one which again just peeled off.
