10c contact picked up today. It has little French bulldogs which my 8 y.o loves. Used it to cover a ratty old table she uses for art and craft. Then chucked out all the box construction projects she has been working on. Hoping the contact buys her forgiveness. Hell hath no fury like a child who realises their crap, I mean art, has been disposed of.
We got the contact/book cover with bats (like batman) on it for 10c last Thursday.
About 50 years ago, I bought my Mum a vase from KMart. It was expensive..around $7.95 from memory. I'd saved my pocket money for ages to buy it.
She kept it on her dining table right up until when she left the 'big house' and went to stay with my brother, interstateMy Mum passed on 4 years ago, and when I
visited my brother a few months ago, there were some things that he had of Mum's. He asked me if I wanted any of them.
The vase was one of them!It now sits on my dining table.
When people visit and see the 'new' vase (it's actually quite stunning) in my place, they ask which gallery I bought it at 😁I reckon that was my best buy from KMart… Not because of the gallery comments tho..
An object with a story is more valuable than one without.

i use it on the couch… so damn comfortable. All my friends have bought one too (it gets cold in Tassie). This is the only thing from Kmart I have felt is worth recommending!
We have four faux mink blankets that we have on our couches; they are warm, relatively light, wash easily in the machine and dry quite quickly given how thick they are. I usually have one I sit/lie on and one covering me - this is usually then topped by whichever cat gets in first - the man usually has the same setup with the other cat. Team this with some thermal clothes and we don't have to crank the heating up to full.
My only problem is storing them in summer.
