Best Ladies Electric Shaver

My wife has been asking for an electric shaver, mainly for her legs. Can any ladies recommend an electric shaver (or for that matter, suggest which to avoid)?

I once read a group of ladies agreeing online that a man's shaver was actually the best one for a woman. i.e. They were saying it cut the hair better. I thought I had their comments bookmarked or saved in a file on my computer somewhere. But haven't been able to find their comments again.

I don't think she'd use it in the shower - probably just before getting in one. And from what I understand the internal batteries of cordless shavers quickly weaken and then go flat before shaving is finished. I just want to get her the one that works the best. So while cordless isn't important, if a cordless one was at the top of the list, I'd prefer it run on common AA/AAA cells.

Suggestions/thoughts please ladies?

  • This one is good, especially if you get it at a bargain

    • Thanks. I might go to HN and have a closer look. I assumed because they're sub-$100 they wouldn't be very good.

Buy your partner a day spa and beauty visit. She’ll come back home all fresh.

    • Nah, she's hate that kind of thing - but thanks.

If she's anything like my mate's missues I'd suggest a whipper snipper.

Easier to chuck them under the lawn mover. they would come out smooth on the other side ;)

      yeah dont do that lol

  • I used to use the cordless women's shavers, the cheaper Remingtons. They didn't cut hair that well so it took a while to shave, and if you ran out of battery halfway through you're stuffed. My first one broke after a while and was replaced; after the second one broke I went to a more expensive men's shaver which cut the hair better and has lasted a long time. It also had a cord so no worrying about battery.

Recently I scored a free Gilette razor at an event so thought I'd try it out, and have never gone back. It cuts the hair far better than the electric shavers I had been using, so it's quicker to shave since you don't have to go over the same area repeatedly. So my personal opinion is that electric shavers aren't really worth it, but it's possible I was just unlucky with the ones I had.

    • Yes I've mentioned I don't think she'll like how it leaves stubble and will soon give up using it. But when it's the only thing she keeps suggesting she wants for a gift, what's a guy to do.

      • You could always get a epilator (uses rolling tweezers to pull hair out) like the Braun SilkEpil series; they come with interchangeable heads so you can swap between epilator and shaver
