Balvenie 17YO Single Malt Double Wood 700ml $150 @ First Choice Liquor

70

Just recently purchased a Balvenie 17YO Single Malt Double Wood 700mL from First Choice Liquor. I missed out the last month's member special from Dan Murphy's. Luckily I've found this at First Choice Liquor last weekend.

  • I quite enjoy the 12 year old version. Can anyone comment on this version?

It's about 5 years more mature.

  • Not much of a deal as DM is running the same promo at a "lower" price of $149.95

Don't forget to stack with Cash Rewards and Wish gift cards.

      Nice …

At least I got 150 flybuys points from the purchase. :-)

Which is equivalent to 75 cents.

With DM you use those 5% discounted WISH cards and you save $7.50 + cashback :P

  • My favourite!

  • How could you say no to "double wood?"

    • If they offered triple wood.

      • You can get triple wood!

Careful, I thought this too. As it turns out, they sell 'doublewood' and 'triple cask'. The triple cask is an okay malt in its own right, but is not anywhere near as nice as the doublewood. I have emptied half a dozen doublewoods but still can't bring myself to finish the triple cask. It's just not very appealing. (IMHO of course)

    • Never heard of this site. Is it reputable?

      • Now $127.46 because there's free shipping.. Plus a possible 7% cashback.
Not sure how reputable they are.
I've had a friend order before with no issues.

        • I put in an order at $127.46 and cashrewards tracking has come through. Should be $118 in total. Thanks for the heads up, this is a great deal.

  • "Limit of 24 Per Cart" pfft whatever
