Telstra modem TG797n V3 with another provider?

Hello experts,
Disconnect with Telstra NBN and connected Telecube NBN however, I thought my Telstra modem could work with TC but not working. Googled for couple hours and tried factory setting but it came back to Telstra settings.
Some one said launch Telstra modem installation wizard but I don’t have CD also can’t find from the program from website. I expected to connect TC with this modem…. do I have to buy another modem? If so which modem would you recommend from HN?
Please give me any comments.

    Pretty sure Telstra Modems are only compatible with Telstra Internet.
    What type of NBN do you have? FTTN?

      Ummm that’s bad news, I have FTTP.

        Telstra modems are just regular modems with branding on them most of the time you wont even have to change the settings to connect with a new provider. is there any chance you can show us some information like are you getting any dsl up and down signal ?

          He's on FttP so there is no DSL to get a signal from.

    depending on your type of nbn connection you just need to set up your modem correctly. if its fttp just plug you network cable into the NTD data port then the other end into your WAN port (RED) at the back of the modem.

      This, then change username and password in the modem settings.

      I run a Telstra TG799vac modem with Telecube (FttN) perfectly happily.
