What to Buy at David Jones for Store Credit of $2k

Long story short.

We bought a TV at DJ a few months ago. It didn't work from day one and after a lot of stuffing around we got issued a $2000 store credit. But we bought a TV in the meantime.

What else can we buy. We know that DJ is overpriced in general. But they do. Price match often.

We already have a fridge, TV, mobile, laptop, tablet.

Someone recommended waiting until EOFY sale.

Didn't know they had alcohol, but if they matched Dan Murphy's I'd be open to buy some nice bottles of wine.

Any other suggestions please?

Damn you got suckered into accepting store credit. Probably best waiting for eofy and if the odd bargain pops up here that tickles your fancy

    • Thanks.. Yes we got stuffed around.
But luckily we price matched the tv to JB hifi :)

Eofy might be the way to go :)

  • Since you already have a TV, send me your store credit, I will put it to good use and send you a thank you card :)

    • will the thank you card have $3k worth of gift cards :)

      • Will have used 2k store credit voucher + personalized thank you card with a pic of a smiley face :)

    • I'll send you two thank you cards !

  • sell it for cash..

  • Go to a store with a butcher and buy your meat from there for the next year. Still expensive but food is a necessary expense.

    • Wait, David Jones sell meat?

      • Melbourne one does. It has all sorts of fancy food and a massive expensive wine section.

      • Some of them do.. yes. The ones with the food hall at the basement

Go back and sat you weren't aware that they should have offered you a refund, not store credit. See what they say and get that reply in writing. They are required to give a refund, NOT store credit…..

  • Coffee machine
    Quality kitchen goods.
    New bedding
    Mattress
    Couch

Or you could buy a bunch of LEGO, hold it for a couple of years then sell it for profit.

  • Clothes at EOFY sales (like a suit)

    • :/ Don't think you can use store credit online though

  • Buy non-discount goods on their excluded list:
Either poor profit or the brands sign contracts about pricing with them (And all other sellers)
