I've got a $500 Kogan gift card so was going to use to buy a new TV for the living room
Tossing up between these two and can't figure out why the MU8010 is cheaper but seems to have better specs than the KU8000b?

Is 4K HDR as good as it's all cracked up to be?

I have the non-smart Kogan 55" 4K one. It's pretty good for the price. It's pitcure is sharp and clear, colours are OK and it's refresh rate is reasonable. Blacks aren't very deep, the remote is really shit and the speakers are pretty average. I've got a Raspberry Pi with rasplex, Chromecast and a Steam link hooked up to mine. I couldn't find anything better locally for $500.
Personally they are good money for value but yeah some have defects so be prepared to have to return some maybe.
If you are not a visual nut then it will do the job for like family viewing or like
lounge room or bedroom TV
Throw the model number into google and check the reviews on them. Personally I find the Kogan TV's to not have great reviews. Lot of quality faults have been made on previous models. Though its best to check online
