Amazfit BIP Warranty Bought from Joybuy.com

Bought the popular Amazfit BIP from joybuy.com back in a deal in Feb 2018.
Worked well for 2months. The steps counter stops working (stays as zero) since last week.
Tried troubleshooting with factory reset, reinstall app and no luck. Wonder if anyone has the same experience? After research, I can’t find out any reason other than hardware issue.
It was paid by PayPal. Return policy from joybuy is merely 30 days from shipping. Amazfit warranty only covers purchase directly from their original online store.
Want to find out what you think the best option. Thanks in advance.

    If you haven't contacted Joybuy already that's the first thing I'd do.
    Then if they dismiss you I'd pursue a refund via Paypal.
