What’s The Best Option (Credit Card) to Buy Overseas Plane Ticket?

Hey guys. I am planning to overseas in July and need to get my ticket soon. I found a good online deal as well. So my question is what’s the best option to buy the tickets? I have some cash but I’d rather spend the cash on my holidays. Plus if I am gonna buy cash, I need to wait for my tax return so it means I’ll have to get a last min flight and it will be expensive. I need some credit card options with least interest rate, preferably one of those first year free ones. And some of them gives me insurance I guess when I use those credit cards to buy them. Thanks in advance 😜

  • And of course I’d like to get some frequent points too if possible.

If you don't have much in savings is your income high enough to be approved for a credit card? Consider a fee free debit card with no overseas fees. https://www.ozbargain.com.au/wiki/cards_with_no_overseas_tra…

Get heavy duty travel insurance because if you're putting yourself in debt to travel overseas (questionable decision) you will have no resources if anything goes wrong.

Sounds like you cannot afford to travel if you need to put your tickets on a credit card.

  • dont spend the money that you dont have yet.

  • the 'good online deal' may disappear by the time you receive your credit card.

  • No I have enough money to buy the ticket and travel. But I was thinking of using that money for travelling I mean not a ticket to Europe which is about 1400 only. For example I have a credit card but not sure how much I’d have to pay when I get back. That’s why I’m looking for a cheap option

  • Question is, are you able to get a platinum credit card?

  • depends.. i am not making 75 grand a year tho. what else do you think i can get?

  • best is to use someone else's credit card
