  • Where do they get money from?

    • Good question, I wonder if they could be mining a crypto currency whilst the app is running in the background? Would Apple allow such a thing?

"The catch is that Sweatcoin is providing a healthy venue for product manufacturers to promote their product in a fun give-away environment. So that means, if a computer monitor was placed on the Sweatcoin app as an offer, users would see the computer monitor in their Offers feed. This is a form of advertising that spreads brand awareness. Companies are more than willing to give away several big-ticket electronics if it meant thousands, or tens of thousands of people would be exposed to the brand."

  • What kinda steps we talking to get something?

    • +1

      Enough to sweat coins.

    • 1,000 Outdoor steps = 0.95 Sweetcoin https://sweatco.in/

They only show big things you can get on their website like "$1,000 PayPal Money" for 20,000 Sweetcoin.

      According to one website…
"Right now, there are only a half dozen or so offers available to redeem. They change every couple of days. In the future, we’re likely to see hundreds of offers available at any given time. And as competition becomes healthy and stable, we’ll find that the value of Sweatcoin increases."

Sounds like some sort of odd crypto currency

      • So you tellin me, at 0.7-8meters a step, i need to walk 14,000KM to get $1000? I.e. a quarter of the way around the globe. GG

  • What stops you from just sitting there and shaking your phone?

    • They do mention "outside steps" so I would assume it uses pedometer/gps or something..

    • Yeah you can't cheat really, I tried shaking it while driving but it won't record those steps and its not as good like using a fit bit. For example, I run a 10km jog I usually will get up to 13K in steps but the sweatcoin will be around that 8 to 9K instead.

You go up levels by using your sweatcoins, there are some good deals, so far I average about 6 sweat coins a day and you can get one free by clicking the promotions page. I'm really giving it a go and see what benefits it will be like.

So far I started it on the 19th of July and got close to 70 sweatcoins, they have minor and major buys, like the other day you can get a hat which cost like 400 sweatcoins, usually a hat like they would be selling about 30 to 40 dollars in a retail store.

Major prizes is like 20,000 sweatcoins iphone 8 or free $1000 dollars in paypal dollars, the most sweatcoins you can make per day is like 20 but if you x that by 365 days in a year thats like 7300 sweat coins but you got to give up 30 sweatcoins a month to get to the breaker level which works out to be 6940 sweatcoins a year but to do this you would have to be someone who has to be training a lot.

A lot of chick things where you can get 50% off but you give up like 7 sweatcoins to get that coupon code.

My phone is a cheap phone so not sure if it better on a high end device, I'm on the shaker level where I give up 4.75 sweat coins a month and usually sweatcoins needs a 1% commission out of your steps as well.

The major flaw I found is when running it will do more steps but once you start walking it will make less and less steps, which is odd but then again it might be my phone.

Anything cool, I'll post it in here, I'm surprised not many oz bargain members have caught onto this a yet since its another way to get a bargain and it free as well.

  • So far Today, I've done 1km of walking and about almost 10km in jogging, Fitbit said I've done 17,858 steps, Sweatcoin said I've done 9534 and convert my step into real steps according to sweat coin which is 8,335 and plus their 1 % commission 7.93 sweat coins Today plus the 1 extra coin which I view their advert, I wish it was much close to Fitbit, I would be suggesting it more to others.

Both step were mainly outdoors which sweatcoin need to make them into their currency.

  • Just doing a sweatcoin update, if you using an updated phone you can do about 14 to 16 sweat coins a day if you are doing a 13km run on average but what I find is to best to leave the mobile data on and also keep location on your phone.

It kills the battery that what worse about using this device, the battery saver plays up on time to time.

Benn using this for almost 6 Months now and it worth it with an up to date phone.
