Hmmm. Note the classic Mario outfit if you get the full game.

    • You need to play the free play event then purchase a full game to get classic outfit? Can i buy the physical game and still get it? Or i have to buy eshop?

      • No one is entirely sure but will assume any version you buy. Makes sense that your nintendo account will store the fact that you participated in the test, then give you the outfit when you sign on using a copy (physical or digital) of the full game.

I will keep the test download on my system until after I get the full game just in case.

  • Looks cool

Can't wait for this, played a shit tonne of N64 mario tennis with the cousins growing up

    • +2

I'm hoping the mechanics are similar to the 64 one instead of the new "one button super power" of the Wii ones

    • +2

N64 version was boss! Really hope they go back to their roots and don't butcher it. Playing doubles with 4 people is always mad fun

Oh the tantrums we all threw during doubles! By lookong at the latest trailer it looks promising! Never played the wii one, so heres to hoping!

$59.00 from Amazon AU with code amazon20 which includes delivery.

I preordered a switch game from Amazon Au recently - it was delivered a week after release. It’s a good deal for anyone who doesn’t mind the wait.

    • Tried the code and it said cannot be applied to the order. Is it new accounts only?

    • I think they reduce the price from 79 aud. It's now 74 aud in amazon au. I think you can only use the code if more than 79 aud?

I'm glad when companies do these sorts of things.

Splatoon 1's testfire was proper fun, ended up buying it day one, and then the same with the sequel, and Arms's testpunch was also good, it was enough to convince me it was fun but not worth my money, so I library rental'd it.

This test thing will also be the decider for me. I think the game could be proper fun and I'm hopeful, I absolutely loved Smash Court Tennis 3 (the only tennis game I really played for more than an hour or so) and this looks to be that same sort of arcadey fun, and the campaign being added is dope. Buuut, if the pre-release "demo" turns out to suck ass, I might wait on it, but if it's good, it's gonna be a day one for me.

Long story short, pre-release demos (and demos in general) are (profanity) great and I miss them.

    • Which library has Switch games? Port Phillip libraries in Melbourne have Wii, PS3, Xbox 360 and a handful of Wii U, PS4, Xbox One games, but no one has Switch as far as I'm aware.

        Relam library has

          Aaaaayy, another Ringwood boy!

      • +1

Pretty much every one under the Eastern Regional Libraries banner. Plus you can order in from other libraries in the chain at no cost.

I've tried out NBA 2K, Portal Knights, Arms, Darkest Dungeon, Bayonetta 2 (and by extension, 1), Lego Worlds, and rented a couple I already owned just to see how they run on cart compared to digital (if it's free and I'm curious, (profanity) it), just to name a few.

        • Thats an awesome way to get Bayonetta cheap. Put the bayonetta 2 cart into the switch and buy bayonetta 1 digitally for the discounted price. Then now you own number 1, when you have to return the number 2 cart, just buy it from the eshop for the discounted price as well.

I'm generally up at midnight whacking at balls so I'll be ready to handle this big delivery June 1st. Thanks OP.

  • how do i download it ? im just not seeing it :(

    • +2

Not available until the 25th, for use from Midnight 2/6 until 9am 4/6.

  • Playing this now… 90% of matches are unplayable due to lag or something…

Hope they fix this when the game is released!

I had some really smooth and some really terrible. The "signal strength" thing also degraded over the period of a match sometimes so even if you picked high quality connections from the matching screen it could go downhill.

Still loved this game. I sunk a fair wad of time into it over the weekend.

  • Love this game
