It's an old style turn based strategy game of modest complexity. The base game is heavily discounted in order to entice people to purchase the DLCs that are each $4.45 US; an increasingly common strategy among publishers.

GoG has also added a lot of Slitherine games to their catalog, including the "Close Cmmbat" range.
