Has anyone heard when the Moto G6 Plus will be released in Australia? I've asked Motorola on their FB site and they didn't know. Surely they would have the information considering it was released in other countries nearly a month ago.
It's either this or the Nokia 6.1 at approx the same price.

Interested to hear which way you go, I'm also looking at the Nokia 6.1/Moto G6 range.
I bought my wife the Moto G5S Plus a couple of months ago and it appears good for the money. The only negative is the camera is slow to take photos, but that is a common complaint. Hopefully the G6 Plus is better.
According to AndroidPolice, probably should not expect any more updates to the G6 lineup past Android P.
I'm heavily leaning towards Nokia at this stage as they should have at least 2 years of updates.

I got the G5+ and they stated we'd get 8.0 a long time ago but it still hasn't come out yet.
The vast majority of updates are to the Android base and apps anyway. Kernel updates are mostly for security. There has been little visible difference in the recent OS versions.
Any notable downsides to the Nokia? Looking pretty good at a glance.

Hopefully the G5s will tumble in price? Its been hovering around the $300 mark for quite some time.
The G5S Plus is currently $327 from Officeworks, which is cheaper then MobileCiti at $360.
But its been sitting at the $320ish mark for probably 12 months I'd say. The current ebay deal from allphones also has it at around this price after the discount code.
I'd consider it if it were to drop closer to the $250 mark.
I think "other countries" was just UK. Even India won't have it until June.
I've been told by a local Sydney phone shop they expect them on 28 May

A search shows that Mobiciti and Allphones are taking orders. So maybe this time for real.
Loooing at both the mobileciti and Allphones websites, they both look very similar, with the same discounted price of $498 for the G6 Plus (all of a $1 disc). Are both stores linked?
No, but it looks like Mobiciti cut the price by $1 to match Allphones.
I asked Mobiciti recently and they said expected today, 21/5. But I think there might be delays.
