  • Good price, recent steam reviews report constant crashing and generally poor optimization so keep that in mind before buying

    • thanks for the heads up - are there any workarounds for the optimisation issues? As in, did square enix make any update patches to the game?
I just bought the game this morning

    • generally poor optimization

I think people get confused between optimisation and being designed to run on faster hardware that hasn't been released.

Good deal, it may have had its problems and wasn't as good as Human revolution but still worth a play through.

    • I found it really dull. Like nothing has anything to do with Denton anymore so you sorta wonder why are you even there.

      • That's probably because Denton hasn't been born yet. The original Deus Ex, and the sequel (which I'd happily forget) Invisible War, are set further in the future than Human Revolution and Mankind Divided.

  • Great game, well worth imo

  • +1

Just finished HR. It held up well suprisingly, given its age. Cheap enough to take a punt on this.

  • Is this historic low?

  • I just tried to get back to Mankind Divided last night again, actually. And rage quit. Again.

Was at a point where I needed to hack a computer. Successfully hacked it. Bad guy randomly popped up part-way through a wall - he could shoot me but was immune to my bullets (him arm was on my side of the wall but his head/body was on the other side of the wall. Died. Restarted. Tried to hack again, failed. New random guy came through wall and killed me. Repeat x 3 with minor variations. Turned on invisibility, completed hack, finally disposed of bad guys (nobody appeared through a wall this time). All good… until it did a Blue Screen of Death on me and rebooted my computer. It's the only program I've had under Windows 10 which has managed to do that to me, and it's succeeded a few times.

Almost as annoying as when Doom corrupted my save files and I had to start from the absolute beginning again. Still haven't summoned the energy to go back to that one.

    Maybe I'm just cursed! :)

    • You better go to a church and pray and repent hard. Every day. For 6 months. Then try Mankind Divided and Doom again. ;-)
