Bathroom Reno. Best Places to Buy a Bath, (Acrylic / Stone or Otherwise), Shower Screen, Vanity, Tap Ware

Hi guys,

After any leads as to where I can get bathroom fixtures at a great price.
Happy for budget level through to high end..stuff. Ie, stone will obviously cost more than acrylic, but it can be bought for a great price from x place or acrylic baths are cheap from 'x'.

Looking to get a big picture of the reno and work out what quality we will go with from there.

Cheers all

    Where are you located?

    • metro SA

      • I could help if you are in WA.

Regardless. Contact local shops and go have a look.

Shower Screens: speak to someone that does aluminium windows, they often do shower screens as well. Will be much cheaper, and you can get a custom fit.

  • I purchased from cass brothers in Petersham and can recommend. Much more helpful than the big guys (harvey norman etc.) Try to go with a local specialist - they'll treat you better and prices were competitive.

Random tip from my reno on acrylic vs steel baths. The steel ones last basically forever and can be re-sprayed to completely rejuvenate them. They also don't need to be built up underneath. We had to go with acrylic because we need a small bath and they didn't come in that size. The problem with acrylic is that they can sag/be bouncy underfoot if they aren't properly installed. If you have a builder that cuts corners, this can really affect the final look/feel of the bathroom. Lucky our builder did a great job and you can't notice. Will probably only get 10-15 years out of the acrylic but will probably be gone by then anyway.
