Steam Game Prices in Argentina - Can Someone Throw Some Light on This, Please

Now, I came across someone who had a link to the following website in their profile.

It says the Steam game "Hurtworld" is for sale for $349!! (presumably US).

Other offer are cheaper but still ridiculously expensive.

Are these prices real? Is Steam not accessible in Argentina? Can Steam games not be bought from the Steam store?

If anybody can shed some light on this, I would be quite grateful.

    Steam is accessible in Argentina. They can purchase steam games from their own region Steam store.

    It is likely they're listing the prices in Argentinian Pesos (ARS$ 279,99). Any discrepancies in the price that, that site lists is probably due to where they're sourcing the pricing from and conversion from that source to local currency.

    Hope that helps.

    • It does. Thank you very much. I almost got a heart attack when I saw those prices and thought they were in $US.

      Have a good night.

      • No problems 😊, glad I could help!

      • I'm confused, you didn't know that countries have their own currency?

        • Of course I did. But Argentina's access (according to Google research I did) used to have very limited access to video games, then high taxes on it, then not have a store in their own currency etc.

          I was just confused by the fact that it seemed the prices were in $349, rather than clearly marked as pesos.

          @Lysander:

          i imagine it'd be interesting visiting a country populated by aging Nazis and their kids mingling with brodens who'd gotten wealthy reselling games
