  Sounds great, except it needs lots of permission for a 'free kids game. Bah humbug.

    You can disable any unwanted permissions, and in most cases the app will still work.

    Process below is shamelessly stolen from my prior comment on another post:

    Process below is for Android 8.1.0 (Oreo). Ability to deny permissions was added from Android 6 (Marshmallow), but process may differ slightly, especially if you're using an OEM version of Android (i.e. Samsung)

    If you go into:

    Settings > Apps & Notifications (select "> See all ## apps" if it's not in the initial list) > [App Name] > Permissions
    and disable all the permissions you don't want it to have.

    App/s may not function properly with permissions denied, albeit rarely, especially with unneeded ones such as Telephone. Some dodgier apps may just refuse to work (not that they're unable to…).
