Best Way to Watch Australia Free to Air TV from Overseas

Living overseas at the moment and would like to be able to catch up on some of my favorite Australian TV programs. Wondering if anyone knows what's the best way (in terms of cost, availability, practicality, etc) to do it.

All the stations have online / catch-up tv. Is it geo-blocked?

    • As far as I know it's geo blocked so maybe just a simple VPN and good to go.

You're not missing out on much trust me

  • CloudTV on Mac… seems to be having issues with 7 at the moment but 9 and 10 are perfect.

Thanks for the suggestion but I'm not a Mac user

Just face time to me, and I will put my spare iphone on the couch in front of tele

  • You… actually want to? Wow, wherever you are now it must be truly nightmarish. VPN sounds like a good idea to try.

  • This might be a silly question but exactly what program is so interesting that it must be watched from overseas.

    • Nothing that I must watch but when you're spending a long time overseas, sometimes you just want something that reminds you of life back home/ normality. & it's nothing special but maybe just shows like MasterChef, Have you been paying attention, etc. (Obviously not the American TV dramas that I can readily stream for free and ahead of when they're available in Australia.)

  • It seems like VPN is the consensus. Does anyone know which VPN provider is good/ the best (without breaking the bank)?
