Where to get Garlic Sauce (Toum) in Sydney?

I have a hankering for garlic sauce but I really can't afford to keep buying it from restaurants (El Jannah, Chicken Heaven et al). Is there anywhere in (Western) Sydney where I can buy it at economy prices instead of $6 for a small pot?

Thanks friends

It just depends on how far down the rabbit hole you want to go.

If you have an ABN there a lot of attractive wholesale options.

  • If anyone finds the lamb sauce, let me know as well.

Costco had tubs of garlic sauce. pretty sure 1 kg for 10 bucks or so check it out

  • You should learn how to make it. And it'd be infinitely tastier (And more garlicy) than el jannah/ store bought.

Real garlic is nothing more than garlic, lemon and oil. It's a skill to get the right consistency so stores cheat and add potato.

(I can't actually make it. Never tried. But only cos I'm lazy and get my mum to make it :,) )

  • Most Lebanese charcoal chicken places have them. But making it yourself is definitely a better option if you go through a lot of it.

I have made delicious toum by simply following YouTube videos, and u can adjust the garlic amount to your taste.

I'm a kitchen novice so if I can do it, I'd say anyone with a blender can as well.

  • It's easy to make!

  • You can get this stuff at Harris Farm and Trims Fresh

  • To update everyone, I have found great success with monjay mezza garlic sauce. It is available at most middle Eastern groceries and approx $3-3.50 for 250g or $6-7 for 500g

    • Pilpel also makes good garlic sauce

  • Has anyone tried Masterfoods Garlic Kebab Sauce 250ml ?
Does it taste like El Jannah's toum?
