Transferring Currency from India

Hi Guys, what is the best way to transfer money from India to Australia (best rate, low fees). This is OzB afterall!

Edit: I’ve checked out both transferwise and OFX and they don’t seem to offer transactions from Indian rupees to AUD but will do the other way…

    not sure why - but best rate is based on amount. if it is small amount you use western union kind of place, large amount use bank, etc

  I use Transferwise to transfer from UK to AUS. They're reliable and pretty quick, about 6 hours turn around time to deposit straight into bank account.

  Export curry from India, something special that you cannot buy in Australia.
  Sell that then to Indian students here in Wollongong, who are longing for the tastes from back home :)
