Adidas Shoes for Casual Wear and Light Jogging

I was wondering if there is any good Adidas shoes that are good for casual wear and for some light jogging here and there.

So far, being influenced by Hypebeasts, I've been looking at these shoes:

  • NMDs
  • Ultraboosts
  • Pureboosts

Are any of these great quality or maybe you've had a pair of these? I have been looking at some nice shoes to have because I've always been wearing sub-$100 shoes (which to be honest have been of great quality too).

  • So I recently looked at the Adidas Alpha Bounce (in grey and orange) - I was at Foot Locker, I liked the shoe but I didn't like the $160 price tag so I passed on it. Just by chance I decided to walk into In Sport a few stores down and they had a sale with the same shoe for $120 so I bought it. Too good to pass up at $120. However, I wouldn't say they are casual wear, definitely a great running shoe I have been on one run so far and they are very comfy, but I would only wear them casually with say my basketball shorts or something. I wouldn't wear them casually with Jeans or anything like that as they will not suit at all.

  • Nmd are not for light jogging.

Ubs/pbs would fit into your criteria.

But some people find them to be slightly mushy (especially Ubs).

Alphabounce are great alternatives but you might want to check the solar boost. It has an extra eva on top of the boost, so it's less mushy. It would be better for your sprints/hiit workout.

From my pov as long as you get a good price for any of them, you win.

  • Nike recently released the Epic React running shoe as a not so subtle competitor to Adidas' Boost line. I would say that the Epic React is better suited to running as it is lighter and I found it more responsive, whereas the boost line is more comfortable for casual wear, including being on feet all day. My personal favourite of the Boost line is the EQT 93/17 as it gets me through entire days without sitting, but that is purely a casual and not performance shoe.

If you're more concerned with your jogging then you may like the Epic React more than the Boost options you listed. Of all 3, then the UltraBoost would be the best suited, followed by the PureBoost and definitely not the NMD.

Agree with this, comfort is key for me.

After owning / using both UBs and Nike React for running - can comfortable say that React out performs UB mainly due to superior stability.. I feel like I could roll my ankle any second if I jog/run with UBs on. With NNDs, even though I own a few colorways, I am not a huge fan as they are not that comfy compared to UBs for casual wear (although primeknit ones > standard NNDs)

I feel a Black/White UB is standard casual sneaker to own as it is so versatile and can be worn with many outfits! It is definitely in my rotation, and my preferred sneaker to wear when I go overseas/doing lot of walking.

      Enjoy
