how much are we going to save to buy a gas heater instead of using aircon?
let's say using it 2 hours day, 8 weeks of usage.

have you already got the air con or do you have to buy one?
i have got an aircon already.
then just stick with the aircon instead of outlaying for a new heater , it wouldn't be worth it
there is a good thread on whingepool about this, that has lots of numbers that may or may not be correct.
How much you save?
The running cost of reverse cycle air cond may be cheaper than gas.
If it's 2 hours per day for 8 weeks a year, then I wouldn't bother.
It must be said that gas heating does feel nicer than reverse cycle heating, however not that much better that I would get gas heating if I already have reverse cycle air cond.
