Cheaper MacBook

I am after a cheaper Macbook ( air or pro), I only found macbook air (vaya - grey import) for $1050…..any suggestions please ozbargainers?

    Disagree with this. Xiaomi laptop was very good for me, but nothing beats OS X for a laptop (especially for iPhone users). I had the Xiaomi for a whole painful year just wishing I had got the MacBook.

  Kogan has some grey 'factory refurbished' macbooks for $1000. They appear to be last years model. I am dubious of the keyboard on these, though.

    I'm not sure what people's issues are with the keyboards, seems to be a rather big blow-up in the media. I have the 12" MacBook retina 2016 model refurbished for $900 (with discount offers/gift card discounts) and it was such an amazing value purchase.
