Does anyone know Golden Boronia Nougat and the shops that sells them cheap in Brisbane?

I also appreciate any other suggestions on different nougat brands, preferably the 'bargain' ones :)
Thanks.

  • omg i love those
i blue and coffee ones are best
my relatives usually bring them in when they come interstate/overseas.
although i don't know how much they cost.
haha yeah i'm interested as well

  • I found some websites that sell them:
    http://www.golden-boronia.com
    http://www.somethingaussie.com.au
    http://www.afoshop.com
    But shipping is too expensive..

  • I'm not sure about Brisbane, but in Sydney, the cheapest I can find is 500g for A$13.65.

  • I am reopening this case and hopefully my good OBer can help me ASAP.
Flying out soon and relatives have asked for Nougat. Not time to order online, had been google'ing for some time but no luck. Can someone please tell me where to buy them here in Brisbane?

    • the "duty free" shops at sunnybank were still doing $25 per 1kg pack last time I checked.

      • Thanks. They must have a monopoly position as I can't find them elsewhere….

        • Yeah its like a cartel. But $25/$26 I think is pretty reasonable, especially when boronia is doing $33(excluding postage) on their own website for a 1kg pack.

Few years back I was in Sydney Chinatown area and one shopowner told me $22.50 was the lowest and she was making only 50cents. So maybe base cost is $20, i reckon they still make 10% even at their "discounted prices"

That was when the price in Melbourne was "fixed" at $27 after numerous complains to the company from retailers about the "chinatown shops" undercutting their prices.

LOL. I really dont know what's the fuss about these nougats. I dont know any Australian friends who like them. But overseas people love it….. It is very heavy too. My my favourite item to bring overseas :-(
