Do such downlights exist? (downlights with motion sensors)
A quick eBay/AliEx search didn't find anything and nothing in stores either.
It would be nice to just use the existing neat power and fittings to light the front door area instead of having to pick up and add external lighting, plus req a sparky for fixed wiring ones too. The idea being wanting to avoid just external blocky solar powered ones if we can.
That's what I hate about this site, I find threads that make me look around and buy stuff I didn't even realise existed or that I wanted/needed.

Thanks that's a good start. But why didn't that make it with standard GU5.3 d'oh. So then no need to change the transformer which brings in the sparky cost anyway.
The plug type implies it's DC but if it's still 12V AC maybe I could at least make my own adapter.
If you can find the plug inside the ceiling then replace the whole unit.
