Sale? Isnt this the same price they are always at?

    • Haha more or less but slightly less. No Ebay 'discounts's here mate

  • -1

    Pewdiepie's is much cheaper, haha.

    • No? Cheapest Clutch chair that ships to Australia is $360 USD and that excludes shipping costs.

    • pewdie pies is 429 USD shipped

      do the math

Titan: only 130 kg max. weight
Omega: no information about max. weight

    • +1

Only 130kg? Calm down Hafþór Björnsson

      • I weigh exactly the same as Hafþór Björnsson although quite obviously not as much muscle. Obviously someone questioning 130kg's doesn't think it's enough. Target sell 7XL shirts and Lowes sell 9XL…there are big people around. I am sitting in an office chair right now rated to 250kg's which still has issues with strut randomly lowering by itself.

hmmm..just sitting on the throne playing fortnite.

Businesses with lawsuits to pay for innappropriate seating still aren't choosing gaming chair for their employees.

    • My stupid office spent $500 each on chairs from some fancy office fitout company and they were rubbish, no ergonomics, no support, uncomfy as hell. Next time just give each employee $400 and tell them to go choose their own, guarantee we'd do a better job and save the company $100/person ($30k for our office alone)

  • no watercooling and no rgb? noway

throne and omega are seats made for ants but the titan can normal sized humans but looks… old.

a friend got a recaro desk chair through a promotion he took into our work. Each week we have all been greeted by his chair with a new and exciting feature. Last week was Tweety Bird neon pink seat cover, the week before was a similar to the wooden bead seat covers you used to seen in taxis, it was hand made by 3 of the idiots who instead of beads, used multiple strands of different shape and colout lego blocks.

    TLDR
recaro desk chair will get you some awesome things to regift to family you hate.

the titan is a freaking good chair. i replaced my previous ergonomic one with this. and im so glad i did.

it also has a built in lumbar support which i supplemented with a memory foam one based on seating position
i only wish the neck cushion could be adjusted lower. but its a trivial thing

i didnt realise chairs this wide for my fat arse existed. i only had 1 issue with the armrest which they replaced promptly
ive fallen asleep in this chair countless times due to the fact it reclines back so much

this price is only $10 cheaper than what i paid, which was including free shipping as well

all the gaming chairs look like some OEM design slightly customised with logo and minor features. so just get whichever ticks ur boxes and is cheapest

10/10 better than buying the "ergonomic" chairs

    • yeah I agree, mind you i never really had a good chair to begin with. But this I use daily at home in my office and have done for over a year now no issues. I personally reckon this is a good chair compared to others I have used/tried and is in a sweet point $ wise, seeing as most other chairs kinda similar are 40-70% higher in cost and I did not want to fork out 700-900 on a chair.. before shipping.
But I have the same complaint with the headrest pillow though

Plus all my friends that have tried it agree that it is very comfortable

      • The neck pillow thing is because the Titan is quite a big chair yeah? Feels bad that the Omega doesn't have the in-built lumbar thing.

  • I need a new chair, but these prices are ridiculous..
No way can i justify this to the wife..

    • get her the omega

all the office works ones are shite

the pleather used on these chairs are miles better in durability and quality. i never thought synthetic fabrics used in office chairs could be cheap until i inspected the ones in office works

im personally not a fan of the materials used by the premium ergo ones either

      • She had a look and said what a rip off :)

        • +1

u get what you pay for though

but yeah $500 is alot of money for some

i just bought a second one, omega for the mrs

  • Add gaming to something and sell it for a higher price

    • Secretlab don't directly market these as gaming chairs but the OP decided to put that in the title as it is what we generally refer to these chairs as. So what you're saying isn't quite relevant here.

  • +4

The price for these chairs remain the same. This isn't an EOFY sale, dont get sucked in! Also free shipping excludes WA.

If you're considering spending $400+ on a chair you cant actually test out, please reassess what you're about to do.

2 year warranty? For $550?? People's the ergohuman v2 has 10years warrenty!!! This is ridiculous!

    • how much is an ergo human

  • I wanted the Titan with adjustable lumbar support but it's too big for me. I'm only 172.5cm so I guess I'll have to look at the Omega.

  • -1

Better deal from pewdiepie for $399

    • u mean $429 shipped plus USD conversion to AUD

    • No? Cheapest Clutch chair that ships to Australia is $360 USD and that excludes shipping costs of $30-60USD

  • Honestly I would have wanted this chair a few months ago, but after doing research, it's definitely not worth its price.

As others have mentioned, only a 2 year warranty for a $500 chair, they don't even stand by their own product.

Additionally, you're essentially paying for extra for the gaming look. You're not even getting real leather for $500. You can search up reviews about the chairs peeling after a year. Don't only rely on reviews that look at the chair when it's new.

If you're going to be spending this kind of money, get a real office chair that will last you many more years for the same price.

    • I've never seen any reviews of Secretlab chairs peeling even after looking at plenty of reviews. Could you show them to me? Their 2 years warranty does seem nonsensical but at the same time, I don't think they'll risk their reputation being destroyed on the basis of the material they use given that they rely solely on online buyers that rely on reviews since they can't try the chair.

Also worth digging into the comments here regarding how previous threads complaining about the chair have since been removed. However, since I have not personally seen them, I'll leave that up to you to decide whether it's worth believing or not.

Apart from that, if you check out previous deals on secret lab chairs, there are plenty of people recommending ergohuman at a similar price point. Personally, I would feel more assured with an office chair which are built to last longer and are very highly regarded for their comfort. There is a decent amount of discussion on hardwarezone, and considering secretlab is a singaporean company, whether you do decide to get it or not, it would be worth digging around to find out more.

        • Hmm yeah. Peeling is definitely a problem, although that might be climate-based. People also complain that the hard/firmness is comfortable. So I don't think I will be getting it unless I try it in person and even then, I might need to buy their extremely high priced leather version in order to avoid flaking.

At the moment, I'm looking at gaming chairs over office as they generally feature headrests and better reclining functions but that could change. Gonna have to go around trying some chairs but for now, the search continues…

        • I did some research and there isn't many options. Saw an AKRacing that has 3 years, Noble chairs have 2 years. Seems like companies don't value high warranties here in Australia. The longer warrantied office chairs all go for $1k+…

  • +1

Thanks OP. But reckon not very good price.
At this price level I may prefer DXRACER http://www.dxracer.com.au/ or ZQRACING https://www.zqracing.com.au/, or AKRACING https://www.ak-racing.com.au/
Especially looks to that omega and throne not much ergonomics with a flat backrest, somewhat similar to a black chair $249 in Office Works.
I used to have a gaming chair $149, cheap but aweful. Months later I had to give up and sent it to the kerbside collection.
I don't wanna recommend any one, but better concern the warranty details, and the pillows which may be important to your feelings.

    • The Omega and Throne have a memory foam lumbar pillow. WHat are you referring to when you say flat backrest?

Might be worthwhile waiting for IKEA's custom offering.
