Fallout Shelter Now on PS4 and Nintendo Switch for Free

I wasn't going to post this as a bargain because it's not and I don't need upvotes. Just more of a PSA

ALSO Bethesda announced Elder Scrolls Blades for all platforms coming later this year which will also be free

  • Are they overly pay to play? I tried playing the mobile versions when they first came out but it just wasn't fun. Grinding sucks.

    • From a quick look, no.

The micro-transactions are mainly used as an alternative to completing daily objectives.

    • Here's a list of possible paid add-ons for the PS4 version.

I downloaded this and played it over 2-3 times. My last game I maximised the production, maxed dweller stats, and stocked up everyone with decent weapons. Deathclaw attacks were stopped easily, and it was dirt-proofed from Mole Rats. At that point, the game became "finished" as there was very little to do… since the Quests become a little repetitive.

Overall, took me around 5 weeks without cheating/buying packs… was worth the casual game time on the portable, but not sure if it would be as good on a PS4.

    • Is it cheating to change the dates? :P

      • On a rooted Android, you can do this easily. Not sure on a Nintendo Switch/PS4, because the game does have a feature where it detects changes in system time/date (maybe its the online connectivity feature?).

So technically its cheating, if you have a quest that takes 24 hours to approach and you fast-forward the time 25 hours… the next time you log into the game it actually has the quest ready for you. So in that sense, you can finish the game in a couple days… most people finish it in around 3 months. But its not as offensive as "aimbot" or "copy items" cheats you see in other video games.
