Savings with Cashrewards

This is more of an informative post and a post to thanks OZB community.

I just did some basic analysis on the purchases made through cash rewards in last 2 years. On average I have received around 3% cash back on 40K spent (work and personal) via cash rewards.
Thats more than 1200 dollars in my bank account which wouldn't have been possible otherwise.
On top of that, credit card points are worth 1-1.5% cash back (Assuming worst case scenario, when you use Qantas/Virgin points to buy Myer gift card)

I learnt most of this via this community. So thanks!

Yeah i'm at about $2500, a lot of it from Dan Murphys, Ebay, and heaaaaaaaaaaps from Expedia for work trips

    • Then get work to reimburse the full amount without mentioning cashback? It's what I do.

      • Life is crap when your pa books your trip.

        • Yes that's why I book it myself and get some sweet cashback.

  • No problem!

  • I miss the change they did where it shows your lifetime reward. Not sure where I am at now but it's surprising how quickly it adds up.

  • Cashrewards is simply amazing. I've earnt $2,000+ easily, and all it took was another login, and another click to a store, then purchase as normal.
Before I do any online shopping, the first thing I do is check if the retailer is on CR. I've referred heaps of friends and colleagues too, and they've also reaped the benefits.
    Everyone is winning.

  • Now there is shopback too and they have some very competitive cashback offers at the moment, for example 8% off at Aliexpress or 2% on ebay (cashrewards is only 1%).

    • Are you sure? From what I can see they're both on 1% for eBay and 8% on AliExpress.
