That's why it's classed as a freebie and not a bargain.
Let's be honest, this is just their newest ploy to try and build hype.
That said, I'll probably give it a go if I can spare the space on my HDD.
Agreed, the hype and intro videos of the first one was simply amazing and the game started off being rubbish with no one around to play with as matchmaking and servers weren't done properly. It apparently progressively got better especially after the expansion, but I never went back. May try this but not buying into the hype. Ubisoft after all.

Just remember this is a $20 game, with $60 of In-App-Purchases.
In fact, it will be free sooner than later. Happened with the first The Crew game.
I didn't like what i played of the closed beta, i also was not really liking the first when i played it beta either - but when i got the game free, it was a better game.
This one tries to be a lot like Forza Horizon, but not as good.
Agreed, always found The Crew to be a little too cringy and lacks controller support.
I got an invite to the "closed alpha" it was literally the complete game, cars and all but with a majority of the content locked off. Consider this a pre-release demo and not a product that will recieve bug fixes between that beta and full release.
Not bad, 5 days worth of beta.
Cool game, but not really a bargain? A beta like this would normally be free.
