Haven't seen this one posted yet from the PS Store. Was previously $59.95 just before the DoP sale, and now there has been a further price drop. Also available for the same price at JB Hi-Fi and EB Games.

Cheers OP. Another useful bit of info is PSN membership stacks so you can get one even if you just renewed.

  • My subscription runs out in September, will this add 12 months from September?

    • +2

Yes stacks on top, so Sep 2019 will be the new expiry

How many times can you stack?

    • +2

I think you can have up to three years.

  • Just need another Woolies deal on PSN top-ups! Thanks.

This and black ops 3 for free go nicely together :)

  • Hi stupid question but Fallout 76 is now online game so Do I need PS+ to play this game online? Thank you

    • Yes, you would. All multiplayer aspects of any game are locked behind PS+.

      • Weren't there, back in the day, some cool PS4 games that didn't need subscription?

        • Yes and still are occasionally. Fortnite does not need PS+.

All online before the PS4 did not require PS+ but it only came on the market late PS3 cycle anyway so the change happened with the next gen of consoles.

      • Thanks

      • Not all games.

For example Tony Hawks Pro Skater 5 you can download parks etc. without PS+

The game is actually glitched where you can't earn the online trophies if you DO have PS+ lol.

Damn this could've been my first bargain as I noticed the change when JB dropped their prices.

      Snooze you loose.

  • Total noob question.

Just got myself a PS4. Do I also need a membership?

I’m old school and haven’t bought a console in years. In the past I’d buy a disc, play the game, go buy another disc etc.

What does the subscription get me exactly?

    Thanks.

Almost all games need PS+ subscription for online multiplayer. Also gives you two free ps4 games a month and cloud gamesaves also exclusive discounts for games, addons or subscritions.

      not needed for fortnite.

You must have PSN Plus to access online multiplayer functionality in majority of games.

Each month you’ll have access to a small selection of free games that you’ll get to keep for as long as you are a paying member.

If you let your members ship lapse you’ll lose access to these games but will get them back if it choose to renew your membership.

You must each month “buy” the games for no cost in that month. You do not get access to free games that have been available in past months.

    • Old school like you and living happily without PS plus.

Kind of frustrating that they would advertise a 25% off price, and then have it for 30% off literally the next week.

    • Tell me about it, I did that deal expecting that to be it seeing how close it was, might just stack though in case they up the price next year or something.

I rather use that money to buy full disc games at Amazon or JB hifi. I get no value off PSN sub as a casual gamer

      Cool story bro.

If you simply need online play and PS+ games and not worried about the cloud storage you can get PS+ cheaper ($37 per year) using an Indonesian PS+ account.
Still have access to online and the Indonesian (English) games on your main account.

  • Does anyone happen to know what the cheapest ever price has been for a 1yr PS+ subscription? (Not including using discounted gift cards, etc. Just the lowest price it's been offered for.)

I've only recently got a ps4 and was wondering if this as good as it gets or is it worth waiting for a better deal.

    • it doesn't generally go much cheaper than this, if we're talking about AU PS+ and not cheaper countries like the above comment mentions. if you're interested in PS+, i'd buy this.
