  • Do you mean to sell it?
I can see it fetching 2000+ for the tower alone.
    Monitor 500.
Peripherals not sure. Maybe $200 if sold separately

    • Yes looking to sell if the price is right.

      • Pop it on gumtree and see. Maybe sell the 2TB SSD's separately. Put a 2TB HDD in.

        • With a 1tb ssd does he even need to add a 2tb hdd? Let's be real.

Definitely sell the 2x2tb ssd though, that is a lot of ssd. OP are you positive it's all ssd? Then again if he listed it as Samsung evo/pro.. Probably is

        • Seconded. 5TB of SSD is overkill for…. anything I can really think of. They can probably get a lot sold individually.

        • @HighAndDry: I have a LOT of games on Steam etc, so it's mainly to kill load times.

  • $3500 or less depends on how old it is and the running time rate.

  • Definitely SSD as my wallet took a beating when I bought them.

Any idea on what they are worth used? Working etc, formatted. Don’t have the original boxes though.

do you have invoice? it would be much better

  • I could get one, yeah.

Translation: I knocked off a PC, and these are the names printed on the parts. What do you reckon the max price I can shift it for on Gumtree is?

  • I would personally offer you 3K for everything if the cpu was an 8700K and the gpu was a 1080Ti.

    Maybe even 3.5K.

Other than no 8TB mechanical hard drive and not a Dan case sff your system is almost perfect to me.

On the other hand I might skip on the monitor depending as I might be going the 55 inch 4k tv route.

Maybe as a back up for smaller stuff but that's maybe.

  • I agree with the other estimates of basically $3k+… possibly even without 1 or both 2TB SSDs. It does also depend on how long you've had it and how much use the system has seen though.

  • Thanks for the feedback, we are building a house and looking to get some cash for the fences and landscaping etc. can’t see any major pc only games coming for the next year or so, so could go without a pc for a while.

  • Fu$king hell that is a lot of SSD capacity, my 480GB SSD + 2TB HDD config over here sheds a silent, selective tear.

https://au.pcpartpicker.com/list/ will help in giving you a rough idea new.

Then minus off what you believe your usage would be, and what a buyer would be willing to pay for second-hand gear.

I started it off, but without knowing exact models it's a pretty tricky and verging on a complete guess.

The motherboard/ram/cpu combo is worth about $600, the video card is worth $550-650 (lower when the new cards come out), The 2tb ssds are worth roughly $800 each, the 1tb maybe $350

Then to sell it all together, expect to give at least a 10% discount, so about $2800 for the computer itself not seperated, $450-500 for the screen.

I've got the SSD's listed on eBay for $550, and no one is touching them. I thought they'd be around 750-800 as they don't get wear and tear do they? Could pass as brand new if they were in their boxes.

    • SSDs have a "limited lifetime" but most users wont ever reach it. The 850 Pro has a rated endurance of 300TB.

I think the problem is that there are now cheap and good alternatives if storage is the only reason someone would need a new SSD. When you need speed, people move up to m.2 drives. In terms of actual value, I don't think your issue in the price, just the current market.

If you take the new value king, Micron 1100 2TB has a endurance of 400TB. If I were to buy now, I would rather spend less for the Micron which may be slower, but a hell of a lot faster than any mechanical drive, and it is still cheaper than most, if not all other second hand drives.Add the fact that SSD prices are falling quickly, it is now a buyers market for the first time in a while.

Noone is going to buy a 2nd hand ssd without statistics on the disk, power on hours, power on count, reallocated sectors, total writes, how is the smart status. Plus you have 0 feedback, noone will risk buying it even at the price you have listed it without the crucial information.

  • Tch.. If you had posted this 2 weeks earlier I would have offered to buy it off you for $3200 without one of the 2TB SSDs.

  • I bought a similar PC 12 months ago for $2500 and feeling like i got a ripper deal

    7700K CPU
    Asus ROG Z270E
    2x 500db SSD Samsung M2's
    1x 2tb Drive
    NVidia GTX 1080 Strix
    H80 water cooler V2
    G.Skill 32gb RGB 3200mhz
    FSP Hydro G 750W
Corsair HD120 120mm High Performance RGB
Thermaltake View 27 Mid Tower Case

  • Still no luck with the SSD's - Any takers here? PM me if so.
