This is the high CRI version of the Nitecore Tip. The seller also notes this is the 2017 version, so it should not have the battery drain bug while in the pocket lockout mode. If you're not fussy with the colour of the aluminium housing, this is the cheapest I could find it.
As usual, MC conversion is slightly better than GB's and don't forget Cashrewards.
I have one of these very good and bright replaced the smaller nitecore i had which was a pain kept switching on in my pocket and when i needed it it was flat. The version i have wont lock but i set it to 30 seconds on time so if it comes on in pocket no big deal. Mine is 360 lumens.

This is the 2017 version. Are you saying the standard CRI is $5 cheaper?
according to Nitecore website
CRI = Nichia LED 240 lumens
TIP 2017 = CREE LED 360 lumens
If you mean that grey one, it's out of stock and discontinued.
Also the nichia emitter is 'better' up close like LGW says at viewing colour.
I've owned both std version and now currently use the nichia led. I definitely prefer the nichia version, better colour rendition so your able to see more detail under the light. Wouldn't mind getting the stainless version next as it does get bashed around on my key chain. Something that I've used many times and can actually say they're useful.
