Microsoft Office 365 Renewal Options?

Hiya all,

My Microsoft Office 365 Home subscription will expire in a 10 days and I am looking to renew. What it the best and cheapest option available?

If what I have at the moment is the Home subscription (which can be used for up to 5 users), can I renew with the key for the Personal subscription? (only 1 user)?

Thanks in advance!

those 5 users are for you to get some friends and family to contribute and go shares in the licence. that way it works out cheaper PP, and you're doing a marketing job for microsoft getting friends and family into using their product.

I recently bought a key from ebay for office 2016. no issues

Officeworks is hard to beat on price for office 365 renewal. $88 for 1 device, $99 for 5 (for office 365 home)

$119 for 4 years for 2 computers plus phones if you are a student (or know one/have access to their email)?

Can get a year for 5 users for $86.4 using the 10% off eBay voucher (PICKY10).

Is there any reason you can't do with a cheap Office 2016 lifetime key for less than $20? Do you need the 5 users and Office 365? There's cheaper options if you want to get a lifetime license for Office 2016 by purchasing a HUP/MSDN/OEM key for significantly cheaper than RRP.

    Example:

Going for a HUP/MSDN/OEM Office 2016 key online is what I use and recommend to people I know. Some ill informed people will cry piracy, but it's a legitimate piece of software downloaded from the Microsoft servers, just not adhering to the EULA. I'm very OK with not adhering to a EULA considering it's not a legally binding document and I'm all about not paying more than I have to. A dollar saved is a dollar earned.

The 5x separate 1TB OneDrive accounts is a decent drawcard for my situation. Last time that I checked, you'd pay that just for one user with Dropbox, and that obviously doesn't include the full Office suite.

      • Guess it depends if you have NBN yet or not for if that's worthwhile. Good luck uploading anything substantial on ADSL.

        • I do have NBN. The upload is also handy for automatic photo backup from phones.

  • $85 for Office 365 Home key at SaveOnIt

    • Bought my last two O365 subscription for SaveOnIt. No complaints.

  • Best option is to get Office 2016 as it doesn't have a yearly renewal fee unless you want OneDrive

I just use my kids' accounts at school. :) I think it is free for all QLD school kids and it can be installed on max 3 devices on each account. I knew I had kids for a reason other than going to theme parks and watching animated movies at the cinemas. :)

    • It's actually 5 devices not 3 :) device can be PC/Mac/Tablet as Office is free to use on phones

      • 5 devices! Woohoo…

  • Have a look and see if your work has Office 2016 download, some of the major companies have a home copy of Office 2016 cheap as part of their deal?

  • Do you have any children that have an .edu.au email? They can get free Office 365 with their school emaill.
