Where's a Good Place to Buy Hubcaps (Wheel Covers?) for 2010 Corolla

One of the hubcaps on my 2010 Corolla has gone missing. I guess it flew off at some point.

I can't seem to find a match easily, as the hubcaps appear to be aftermarket. Someone told me that i should just buy a new set of 4 anyway, since the other 3 are scratched up and won't match. So where to get a good deal? I'm not too fussy about how they look. Though, black would probably be an improvement over silver.

Any recommendations? (I'm Sydney based)

Thank you!

You can go "shopping" in the Western Sydney carpark of your choice.

Oh, check your local cop shop too. They got nice hub caps on their cars.

Yeah OP your local supercheap auto or whatever will have cheap replacement covers for around $50 or less (for the whole set of 4).

Keep in mind that you can keep your two nicest "original" ones on the left (keep the 3rd as a spare) and put 2 new ones on the right, because no-one can see both sides of your car at once.

If you aren’t fussy about how they look, take them all off.

Super cheap auto. I have bought from them a few times.

I bought a set of 4 hubcabs for the grand sum of $5 at the Parklea Markets once.

If your tyres' tread is getting low, get some 2nd hand alloy wheels from Gumtree. Will look better and may even be lighter = better fuel economy and performance.

Sometimes you can get wheels AND tyres with plenty of tread at a very cheap price. That's a massive saving opportunity that many OzBargainers overlook IMHO. Cheaper and better all round.

Hate to do this but they are not hub caps regardless of what stores call them. . They are wheel covers.

Hub caps covered the hubs not the whole wheel. These are hub caps. https://www.quicksales.com.au/ad/untitled/11456011 Am I being pedantic? Yes I am.

    • Yeah, seems like a common misconception.

    • Eh. I'm as pedantic as they come, but it really depends if you think "hubcap" is one word with its own discrete meaning, or if it's "hub cap" as two separate words whose meaning as a whole is dependent on the meanings of the individual words.

For example, a cupboard stores more than just cups.

    buy 4 new hub caps.

take the one of the missing side and put 2 of the new hubcabs on that side.

the originals stay on the other side.

you now have spare hubcaps for the next time you lose one.

who ever checks to see if the hubcaps on each side match?

    • Better still, put all 4 new ones on the car and keep the other 3 as spares. If it happens again, you can replace one or two with a spare. Then go with different on each side. Why put the two new ones away in storage when you could put the old ones in storage.
