    Yes. The moderators secretly accept payment to boost confidence for Airtasker in a budget savvy tightass community.

    They've set up an elaborate lead up of posts, each carefully curated to ask the right questions that lead down the rabbit hole of perfect answers.

    They've ochestrated the posts by setting up ghost and puppet accounts streching back as far as 2011 with varying levels of activity, interests and writing styles.

    Somehow and somewhere, the threads started unravelling and the seams of the conspiracy has fallen apart. Users have noticed said conspiracy and what better way to discredit the idea than to instigate the notion in the first place, hence creating an opportunity for another "user" to discredit the skeptic.
