Good Deal for a Cheap Mobo for Samsung Nvme Drive

So, I'm looking for a good board but it'll mainly be a test bed. I don't want cr*p— but i don't want to break the tiny bank I have.

I'm not fussed AMD/Intel— mainly that it accepts the current SM 951 and will be most compatible. Cheaper RAM is a huge +, as well.

Has anyone purchased a budget system lately and care-to-share?

Ta!

  • I use a GIGABYTE GA-AB350 Gaming 3 (full ATX) with a NVME based WD Black SSD, no issues with performance here.

  • why not just get a pcie adapter?

    • Reason is that you can't use a NVME drive as a boot drive on some older motherboards with a PCIe adapter. I know as I looked into this avenue as I wanted one for an upgrade. Was easier to get a 2.5" SATA SSD, not as fast but better than what I had and would work as a boot drive.

  • Dunno dude but good luck and report back your results please.

    Thank you.
