Xiaomi Mi Robot 2 Vacuum - Does the mop feature deal with rugs?

Hi all,

I have a few cow hide rug in my apartment, with hard floors elsewhere.

Does the Mi Robot 2 have a way of identifying rugs and not mopping them, but still mopping the surrounding hard floors?

Searched for and answer but couldn't find one.

    that was my thoughts too. Only good if you have hard floors EVERYWHERE in the cleaning zone.

The inbuilt carpet detection is only to turn the vacuum suction to high.. go figure.
Guess they needed to save something for the V3.

  Yeah maybe have it so it can retract up when it detects carpet.
