This exact model is, by far, the least effective dishwasher I have ever used. Buyer beware.

What don't you like about it? I have had this since last Xmas, it cleans the dishes perfectly, is quiet, has a slightly larger capacity than the Bosch equivalent (15 place settings), has an easy vertical adjustable on the top shelf and for me a 52min short cycle that uses a minimal amount of water and electricity. If you wait 20 mins after it's finished and then open the door a touch, the dishes all dry perfectly. FYI I use the Aldi platinum tablets but find some don't dissolve so I drop the tablet in without it's plastic package.

  • Checked the Choice ratings, yeah a pretty bad rating for this unit, terrible drying score, the WSF6608X is better but not great either.

    WSF6606X
    Overall score 62%
    Washing score 71%
    Drying score 34%
    Energy efficiency score 76%
    Energy use 0.92
    Water use (L) 13
    Noise level (dBA) 49
    Program time (minutes) 123

For a cheap dishwasher the Haier HDW9-TFE3WH ($679 rrp) is actually in the recommended list however only has 9 place settings. Otherwise the Bosch SMS40E08AU ($849 rrp) is the best value of the rest under $1500

    Weird…

Back when I was researching dishwashers everyone was saying this was the best available (particularly at the pricepoint)

I have no concerns about it

Nice OP, but we picked this up on the 18th December 2017 from the GG store in Clarkson for $508 after Paypal discount (PTGG20), shop price at that time was $635. (See my comment just over half way down this page of the post about their 20% eBay deals back then): https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/350155?page=2#comment

Quote: "Westinghouse dishwasher WSF6606X, GG eBay price $635, with discount $508 collect Clarkson WA. We had trouble adding to eBay cart to buy, but works when you select BUY straight away (strange I know). HN selling for 636, JB 649, App Online 687, Kambos 625. So this is like boxing day price for me. Great reviews too on product review"

BTW, this dishwasher works very well indeed in our opinion, and it dries well too. Not as noisy as our previous dishwashers from whirlpool and Bosch. We are very happy with our dishwasher, but I am sure there will be something better, but as stated above, for this price I think this is hard to beat. Maybe they did not offer "Choice" any good kickbacks? Or maybe they tested a one off lemon unit?

  • Westinghouse or F&P dishdraw?

Like the appeal of having one wash while the other is free.

I have this dishwasher and no complaints. Dries well and cleans well. For 600 it's great value.

Just got this delivered. It doesn't signal the end of the wash nor does it turn off by itself does it?

    • +1

Nope, but it's a minor issue. Just 'Hello google' a reminder a minute after the dishwasher is programmed to finish

  • I bought this model a couple of months back when our dishwasher unexpectedly died..
It's not great, but it's cheap and does the job, which is what I needed at the time.
