  • Where this code FW20 came from??

    • it's pretty much standard code nowadays.. either CL20 or FW20 which comes in alternate fortnight

size 11 max wtf thats midget mans shoes

      • The average size is a 10…

        • Only offering one size above average is shit…

        • @nuttapillar: still bothers people that their feet are too big after all this time ey.

  • What's your experience with sportsdirect ? Reviews aren't very good…

    • They are ok - you are probably screwed if you have to return though as it is back to the UK (https://au.sportsdirect.com/customerservices/completedorders…)

      • One might use paypal's free returns if activated…

I've ordered from them a few times and been happy with the stuff I've purchased.

Sure beats some of the sellers on eBay I've bought from, who advertise clothes but send stuff comparable to rags.

      • Are there good sizes or just midget feet sizes for lil people?

        • Found the sizes ok for me personally.

    • +2

I've bought from them several times. Quick delivery, very quick really. Great prices. Quality of items good too. I've mostly bought Slazenger items and some K-Swiss trainers.

On my most recent order they sent the wrong items. Very similar, but slightly wrong. I'm not sure if it was a picking error or an error with the wrong photo on the item listing. Fortunately the items are close enough to what I wanted and i'm happy with them in any case. I find that this type of thing happens fairly regulalry with online retailers.

Overall i'd definitely recommende them and i'll continue to use them for sure. Mainly because of price - but i'm also very happy with the K-swiss trainers and i'll probably buy the same brand again. I've bought various trainer brands and plenty are just rubbish - I find it hard to come across a brand with the durability that i'm looking for.

I have ordered heaps from them for many years. Never any issues (never had to return anything though). Delivery typically about 10 days or less.

    • Purchased one order a few months back. Arrived in about 7 days, happy overall. CLothing is great, couldn't find it here (Kangol)

    • I have ordered a pair of shoes but they still haven't arrived. It has been 2 weeks. Dont have any tracking or anything

    • sportsdirect has absolute worse dogshit customer serve I've ever encountered. It's taken me 5 support tickets to even get a reply that not a obvious script.

Mine coming $57.99 after applying discount. (Nike Air Max Advantage Mens Trainers(au.sportsdirect.com) - $52 AUD Shipped)

    • +1

You need to use GBP, not AUD. They overcharge in AUD.

      • Sorry but how can I change the currency. I am paying via paypall. Thanks

        • In the top-left of the website there is a flag icon. Click on it.

You also have to tell Paypal not to convert currency for you, as its rates are also horrible. Some steps here

        • Go back to homepage, click the currency icon on the top left conner to change.

  • Does anyone knows if the merchant charge on the credit card is outside of Australia, so I would normally be charged a foreign transaction fee and should use say 28 Degree card?

EDIT: sorry additional text by OP, all good now.

  • how good/bad are SportDirect at cancelling orders? I made an order less than 24 hours ago and paid via paypal, but can now get the same product for a pretty significant discount using the steps above…

    • I cancelled one that I forgot to apply the discount a couple of weeks back.
With in 24 hours they cancelled it…although I emailed them within half hour of putting the order in.

      • Did you order and cancel during business hours (in the UK)?

        • +1

It was about 11pm here so not sure…I got an email next day saying it's been cancelled.

    • No chance of cancelling an order unfortunately. If you have activated Paypal returns and the shoes are under 1kg (which is abut $40 postage OZ to UK), and you take photos before posting (with labels affixed for evidence) you should be able to send them back and get reimbursed through Paypal.

      • Gotcha. Cheers

      • As an update, I actually did manage to snag a cancellation - just got the email confirmation a few minutes ago. Guess I got lucky this time around

    • +1

I tried to cancel an order once (as I ended accidentally doubling the quantities putting in a coupon). They refused to cancel but said I could return it. After weeks of not getting a shipping notification and bugging them on chat/Facebook they said "oh yeah we actually cancelled the order here's your paypal money back".

  • Does the code work???

    • This discount code is not valid when changed currency to GBP
COde nly works when currency is AUD, giving $14 discount
      Costing finally $57.99 delivered.

      • It only works on the Dealsdirect AUD website, regardless of currency. It does not work on the UK or US site. Have been caught out by this in the past.

    • Yes, it works, but only on the Sportsdirect Australia site.
If you try to check out from the Sportsdirect UK site, it will not work.

I tested it just now, and it worked fine for me.

  • just be aware that sportsdirect are not the speediest shippers
My last delivery took 15 days to get home
that would be cutting it fine with the 1st of july and 10% GST!

    • +1

I don't know how the overseas GST thing will work, but if the seller doesn't charge it, I doubt Australia post will show up with an invoice, would they? I have been trying to find this out myself.

      • from what I have gathered on ozB
it may languish there for months!

I hope better sense prevails and they only do that for things posted after the 1st

Australia post might leave a slip in your postbox saying you have to collect a parcel
and when you go to collect it, you may have to pay your 10% then!
else they don't give you your parcel
That is what they do in some countries anyway

        • +1

Australia Post has clearly indicated they can't afford the overheads of collecting GST, and I reckon they are right.
They can't even afford the overheads of delivering a parcel properly, which is why they leave "not at home cards" even when you are at home. Imagine those same contractors having to wait for you to get $0.12 to take delivery of your Xiaomi USB light.

  • how is the sizing/fit on these? how light are these? TIA

    • Very light, IMO.
Sizing is standard Nike sizing - I have had the same sizing for Nike for 20 years, and these are neither smaller or larger than what I am used to. In my experience, however, Nike sizing in EU is about 1 size larger than Reebok, meaning Nike 42 is Reebok 41.

  • If you are interested in how Sportsdirect manages to have these prices, have a look at:

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iImjvZAOT8Y

Quite interesting. Came across it while watching some other documentaries.

Really should not support such working and business practices despite the prices being good.

    • There are tons of businesses which try to mislead customers on pricing and make their people work hard. Think of people in the factory which assembled your mobile phone - I bet they have it tougher than Sportsdirect staff.
Paying more does not guarantee better working conditions for staff - often it is just the top management which reaps the benefit of inflated prices.

  • Only for people with tiny feet!

  • Only goes to size 11. What is this? Shoes for ants?

    • I know, right?

  • Thanks OP, excellent price.

  • Does the air max offer any kind of motion control?

  • They sent me the wrong size shoe. I paid with my CC (not PayPal). I asked to be reimbursed for the return shipping (haven't returned yet) but they are no longer responding to my emails. Auspost quote is $80 (more than the shoe!). Is there a telephone number I can call? What are my options? CC charge back for item not as described?

    • How long since you emailed them?

      • Last Friday. Time is ticking for their return period. Coupled with the fact I am going overseas in two weeks. Tried calling their service center and was on hold for 20 minutes.

  • +1

Remember all these are UK sizing..

    • Which is what Australia uses.

      • +1

Aus sites all list Us sizing in literally every pair of size 13's I've bought.
Always best using the European sizing to make sure you get the right fit.

  • I ordered the air max advantage runners and I was pretty unhappy. They are extremely uncomfortable and lack the usual support of nike runners. I think they may have been trainers misclassified as runners (and low quality trainers at that).
