Qantas Lounge Passes - Paper Vs Electronic

Hi,
I understand St George (and probably other banks too) will change from issuing the paper version of the complimentary lounge pass from 1st July & future Qantas lounge passes will be attached to your account.
I understand the electronic ones can still be given to another frequent flyer.
Does anyone have any thoughts if it is worthwhile asking for the paper ones now, or are the electronic ones just as easy to trade (eg swap for Virgin ones). What about expiry dates of either option?

    I have always used electronic.

    It's so easy to send someone a lounge pass. It'll appear in your qantas portal, just key in their flight details and voila.

      Great - do you know how long it takes to receive & roughly how long the expiry is?

        Takes 3 business days to receive lounge passes from Qantas after your CC provider requests it.
        The lounge pass should apply instantly to the flight when you key in their details.

          my lounge passes expire after a year i think
