I need to transfer some money here from the US. Has anyone ever used any money transfer specialists like Transferwise, XE, OFX or any others? It seems less expensive than the banks. Anyone have one they use/suggest or one to stay away from? Thanks for any help.

Why not send crypto?
Definitely do not wire transfer via a bank… the conversion rates are really really bad. Learned the hard way and lost $900.00 AU in the conversion.
from other posts in here I have found 3, one of which I might use next time OFX, WorldFirst or Transferwise

I have used Transferwise & Ofx in the past. Transferwise had given me the best rates recently. I would suggest checking the actual AUD value for the amount of USD you wish to transfer and then decide. For your first transfer do plan for atleast a week's time to get your user ID and documentations to be verified.
Both have been pretty safe.XE if I remember correctly was part of some larger Forex Company.
i use ofx. pretty straight forward and good rates. worth looking into.
