Find 4 friends who have access to buy MS Office for $16.50 using their companies' HUP .

    • hook me up if you know any…I wouldn't mind even paying $ each

      • eBay.com you can get cheap keys for office 2016 pro plus like 15 or less

Cheapest is either going to be an Office 365 Business subscription at $13.20 per user per month with an annual commitment or $15.73 per user per month on a month to month commitment.

Licensing is per user so say you have 4 employees using one computer each you need 4 licenses.

The advantage here is with Office 365 you are always on the latest version of Office so when Office 2019 comes out later this year you can upgrade as part of your monthly billing.

If you are a charity or non-for-profit there are even cheaper rates available

The other option is Office 2016 Home and Business and the price would be starting around $250 per computer so you are looking at $1000 for all 4 computers, the downside is that when it comes time to upgrade you need to buy the new version of Office all over again.

If you are running a for-profit business avoid Office 2016 Home and Student and Office 365 Personal and Office 365 Home as this is intended for home users and students not businesses.

just use open office for free and they allow commerical use .

Only issue is converting the file or saving them in files that work with office - its just an extra click from a drop down box when you save - and sometimes powerpoints can have problems so if you are doing power point presentations on someones elses computer with office you might have some problems .

    • someone mentioned free office before, you reckon it's better free one compared to Open office?

    • I use libreoffice. Sure beats paying for similar stuff from MS. It's excellent for internal use but if you need to share documents externally, IME particularly spreadsheets, compatibility with MS Office can sometimes be troublesome.

  • Office 365 Business if you need just desktop software.

  • Do they need latest office?

From time to time you can get Office 2010 FPP on Gumtree or eBay which is transferable. This guy has 18 copies at $40 a pop :

  • Why not use Google Docs or OnlyOffice ?
