    Yeah, 3 reviews of problems with the rubber seal and leaking issues sounds bad enough to avoid this.

  Thanks OP. Reviews on amazon.com that are negative seem to be mainly complaining about the fact it's 220V. The negative ones on amazon.com.au talk about leaking - if you checkout the long review at https://www.productreview.com.au/p/braun-jb-3060.html the blender itself seems to be really good but there seems to be an issue with properly attaching the base to the glass jug if you pull it apart for cleaning. It's rated as dishwasher proof so personally I plan to never pull it apart but simply just shove it in the dishwasher. Amazon are really good with returns should there be an issue, so what the hey. $26 for a blender with a glass jar delivered. Bought. ;-)
