Is Dettol Surface Cleaner OK for Stone Bench?

https://www.woolworths.com.au/shop/productdetails/728039/det…

Is this OK to use on stone bench ?

It says for kitchen benchtops and doesn't specifically say not to use on stone.

Thanks!

Test it on a small area to see if it's ok. Come back here and let us know when you have the result. Thx.

Save your money and just use white vinegar (can dilute to "taste"/satisfaction).

    • i google white vinegar has pH of 2 , unless diluted

but i'm not sure how easy it is to dilute to neutral pH 7 ?

        That's not how pH works.

      • Water has a pH of approx 7. If you diluted vinegar until it was a pH of 7, you'd have no vinegar left.

    • No vinegar on stone is a no no

  • Test on a small area to check for staining.

And don't use for blood stains. It denatures the protein and makes it stick. If it sticks to the inside of the stone's porosity, there's going to be a lot of cussing.

I'm almost afraid to ask - why do you know this?

do you dispose of the body, or just clean up the mess

yes, 1 gold coin per body

      Sugar soap.

    • Get a bowl and add one part white vinegar and one part water. Microwave for 1-2 minutes. Let sit for a minute so you don't burn yourself, then take the bowl out and use paper towels or whatever to wipe down the microwave. Repeat as necessary. The steam and acid will soften up the hardened-on food splatters and other crap and it will just wipe away.

  • depends on what type of stone, natural like marble and slate or re-constituted like Caesar stone.
