Good price for a jacket with GoreTex membrane. Got myself one.

      ummm what is wrong with my question? Last thing I want is to spend $174 on this jacket and have someone tell me that I shouldn't be wearing because it might raise suspicion to some people. It's my money that I'm spending so before spending $174 on this jacket I just want to ask the ozbargain community is this fashion accessory appropriate to wear after what has happened recently. I seriously don't understand why the downvotes, it was a legit question.

        You don't need gortex fabric just to walk around in an urban setting. Look elsewhere.

    Jacket with Gore-tex membrane are usually really expensive (overpriced), I have been looking for one for a while.

      Indeed. Usually goretex starts around $399 in Oz.

      The last gortex jacket I purchased was $600,but if you're hiking, particularly for multiple days in a row, there is no alternative for breathability and sustained water resistance.

  Anyone had any problems with delivery to the Brisbane area? The tracking says delivery has been attempted 9 times but failed, even though it is a business address. The contact number for the courier is disconnected and the address listed is not correct.
  Customer service just keep saying to contact the courier. Takes over 24 hours to reply to each message so that is also very slow.

    I had similar, however I finally worked out it’s Toll Australia you need to talk to here in Oz. They handle the deliveries this end.

  It's a 2 layer Goretex jacket:

  (At least the model used to be 2 layer in 2015).
  The 2 layer goretex construction will wear out faster than a 3 layer jacket.
  The higher prices for 3 layer jackets may or may not be worth it. For light use 2 layer is fine. Pressure and material friction inside will wear down 2 layer jackets. All depends what activities the jacket is for.
