just saw these cameras a Kmart kippa ring in brisbane for $59 on clearance.

about 7 there.

not a bad price for a 12mp camera.

there are probably cheaper deals out there. but hey $59 for 12mp. not bad

pretty sure it takes AA batteries.

Aw, it would be way better if it didn't need AA batteries. I swear i go through so many of those!!

rechargables. my first digital camera was a fujifilm and it came with batteris and they lasted for 6 years and would take (before one failed completely and I replaced them) about 100 photos. not bad.

get some decent rechargable- eneloop , etc and you'll be fine.

i like rechargables becasue you can have an extra set for stand by compared with lithium where you don't really want/have another battery.

The panasonic camera i have at the moment came with 2 lithium batteries, so i keep one charged all the time in the case. I haven't needed to use it yet as the battery never seems to run out.
